Fraxiparin calcium is a dry, high purity and white powder derived from Heparin Sodium degradation by special process, than extracted and refined. It belongs to anti thrombotic pharmaceutically.
Fraxiparin calcium is a low molecular weight heparin with a high anti-Xa activity (95～130IU/mg). At doses reguired for the Various indications, Low Molecular Weight Heparins cause no notable modification of APTT. It neither influences platelet aggregation nor binding of fibrinogen to platelet.
It is used in the clinical application for prophylaxis of Venous thromboembolism disease (prevention of blood clot formation in the veins) in particular those which may be associated with orthopedic or general surgery. It is also used for the treatment of established deep vein thrombosis, with or without pulmonary embolism, treatment of unstable angina and non-Q-wave myocardial infarction, and ministered con currently with aspirin, and prevention of thrombus in the extra-corporal circulation during hemodialysis. |
